�Is the Service Center processing dates based on Received Date or Notice date on the I 485 Receipt Notice??
�Also I see many times people talking about Receipt Date is it Received date or Notice Date On the I 485 Receipt Notice??

My current employer has assured me that they will not revoke my LC or I-140. It is a huge company and I think it will stick to its word. It will not have any use for the LC, I-140 anyway as the whole group was laid off and the product moved to India.
So, it seems that if I transfer to company B they will be able to file for an H1 extension beyond 6 years based on I-140 approved with company A. I can then start my GC process with B again while keeping my old priority date.
Once again, all your replies were immensely helpful.

I just got off the phone with some lawyers on this. It looks like a strong case so far. They will be discussing it with their director and possibly getting some other law firms or organizations involved. That is all I can say for now. I will update you when I know more.

I absolutely agree with this. All replies sound similar to me and concerned more about the illegal immigrant population. I think you will hardly find the words 'legal', 'high qualified' etc. As soon as they see/hear an immigrant, do they immediately start thinking illegal ?! I think we need to create more awareness that we exist. We need help from the media.

Remember that you have to be in the country to apply for I-485.

Is this true for Consular Processing applications as well ? I thought CPs are filed at the local US consulate (Mumbai in our case). Additionally, I have a question about I-485 - CP filing and retrogression. Once we file the 485, does the CP get stuck in case there is retrogression in a few months time or is it that once we have applied the process keeps going ? Thanks in advance for the information.

My attorney called them and requested the copy of Denial notice as well as asked them for faxing it.
Still not received anything.
Not sure what to do except waiting.
Irony is that all notice reaches on time except denial notice. Seems like they are trying to eliminate backlog by doing some tricks

Apart from the bad language used by some people .... I dont believe that there is any infighting .... disagreements with point of view is not infighting ... Apart from Deniel notice I also got LUD on I 140.
Could it be related to old employer revoking I 140?
Since I have transfered after 180 and did Ac 21 - am I covered.
