Antis point to polls showing more Americans support the Arizona bill than oppose it. But other polls - including new ones from ImmigrationWorks USA and Immigration Voice, show these same voters also support - by wide margins - comprehensive immigration reform proposals that contain legalization programs. Approval date: Still Waiting
I applied to VSC on Sept 17,2008 and still waiting. USCIS website as of Aug 31,2008 saying processing application as @ Jan 15,2008. Does not know how long the wait can be.

My I-140 is approved. And we are planning to change my wife's status from H4 to F1 student. Is it ok to do that ? I heard that it will be problematic for my wife to go back on Green path. Please advise.

Hi,
perm filed on 03/13/2010. Today my employer HR emailed me that my case was selected for audit. They didn't give me any letter confirming that my case is really selected for audit, on the other hand instructed me to sign ETA form 9089 and send back the original form. ETA form has OMB Approval : 1205-0451. Does that mean that my case has been approved and my employer is lying to me? I read somewhere case filed electronically are needed to be signed and original form be sent back for final processing.
Please advice.

Roll Call has an interesting analysis of this. Some Democrats believe that they have the votes and they can use immigration reform to brand their party as the true home for the country's Hispanic voters only if they leave the GOP out of the process. And most in the GOP will probably be fine with this except the small number that understand just how dangerous it is for the future of the GOP to be branded the anti-immigrant party.

Hello,
It seems that I made a mistake in my DS-160 and my H1B got stamped with an error in my middle name. I repeated my lastname as my middle name so my full name appears as: 1stName 1stLASTNAME 1stLASTNAME 2ndLastname
I have a Tourist Visa also stamped wich is OK. Also the data on my passport.
My I797 is OK and everything else is OK.
I am still in my home country. Should I be worried about it? Should I try change it here or in the US?
In any event, what's the correct procedure to change it?

Am I eligible to transfer to a TARP company for a similar position but in different state? Is there any specific policy or limitation for this work status? The company's HR couldn't make a decision. What should I do? Thank you very much for your kind and generous help.

My company is filing 140 and 485 on a preapproved LC (PD of 2005)
But my original LC in P-BEC just got cleared (PD of 2003). They told that they will also use my original LC for 140 as this gives better chance than the substituted one.
1)How Can I have 2 140's ?
3)How will it effect 485?

Applied for Non RIR labor during April 2004 under EB2 in Ohio. Employer changed address (in same city) and one year before. Last week I came to know that Dallas BEC closed my labor case since they didnot recd the 45 day letter response from my employer. My employer requested Dallas BEC (with proof of informing them the address change) last week to re-open my labor case to continue processing the labor approval. My employer says it's better to apply for a new PERM as a backup.
Can the IV members advise me how to proceed on this?

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports on today's citizenship swearing in of Irish-born James Patrick O'Donnell. Mr. O'Donnell immigrated to the US at the age of 4 in 1926 and fought for our country in World War II and won a Bronze Battle Star. In 1987, Mr. O'Donnell applied for a passport to go on a cruise and was told that he was not a citizen despite his clear recollection of being naturalized before shipping out during the war.
