The Senate voted 59-40 this morning to table Senator Durbin's latest version of the DREAM Act and will instead take up the House version passed last night probably early next week. I am looking for work. Not too concerned with how much money I make, but would like some money for jobs. I can program some mildly advanced AS, and I can draw some Flash vector art, as well as pixel art. I have Macromedia Freehand, so if you need pictures traced for use in Flash, I can do it, save it as a .eps and email it to you. If anyone has any work for me, please post or PM me.

I heard a fascinating interview of Kati Marton by Bob Edwards this weekend and am going to buy her new book Enemies of the People. I filed my GC on EB2 and current status is :
I140 approved on Sep 2008
I 485 in process - submitted RFE on Sep 10th
Right now i m on H1B. I recently got married and my husband is on H1B he didnt start his GC process yet. At this stage can i add him on my green card. If so pls explain me the process ...

I think if she didn't indicate that she intended to do CP in her I-140, but rather indicated she intended to do AOS in the US, then it will be a pain in the neck to switch to CP

Hi ,
I Am planning to apply for my 10th Year H-1B Extension with the same employer.
My last H-1B was in 2007. I looked on doleta.gov The Prevailing Wage
in 2007 for the same job and same location as I am right now at
Level 3 was 57000.00, Now in 2010 it is 76000.
I talked to my Employer about this, he says he cannot raise my salary that much.
My Question is
1. When I applied for Foreign Labor Cert On-line does the
Prevailing Wage has to be most recent even in case of H-1B Extension ?
2. Is is ok If I go to Level-2 Instead of Level-3, will it considered as
change in Employment ?
3. The Prevailing Wage for 2008 for the same job and same location
as I am right now at is 66000. Should I Try to Apply for labor
cert referencing 2008 Prevailing Wage. ?
4. What are my options ?

CPA is not something thats awarded as a graduate degree by an accredited university. So probably no.

I received RFE that says" your application contained form I-693 in which the required TB skin test was not conducted. Please note there may be conflicting information on some published form I-693 instructions regarding when the chest X ray Report should be performed. It is required only when the TB skin test indicates a reaction equal to greater than 5 mm, or when the reason for why the TB skin test is medically inappropriate to perform has been annotated on theform I-693. Please submit a newly completed form I-693 indicating the results of the required skin test."

After consulting with the doctor they filled up new I-693 from with 2007 test results and gave me in a sealed envelop. I need to know whether 2007 results will be acceptible to USCIS or do I need to do it gain before I submit response. Please advise.

October is usually a month where we see improvements as new visa numbers become available for a new fiscal year. Most categories showed forward movement though few jumps of more than a few months. The exception is the Mexico Family 1st category which jumps a year and a half. EB-3 is available again, but not set at a date particularly close. Most people will not be happy with the dates. I am a brain cancer patient. If something happens to me, Would my wife and children continue to get the GC?
I have filed my I 485 in July 2007. My priority date is Sept 2003 (EB3). My wife has EAD and she is working.

Dear All,
I just have one thing to say to you all. You did bring attention and top newspapers covered our plight. I am seeing newspaper articles from NYT, Business week, BBC and Washington post.
Remember everybody, It takes mighty work to shake this, and we did that mighty work and I think you shouldn't be overcritical and wait for the fruits of labor to bloom.
We will do it one day........ we shall overcome one day... :-)
Just keep this passion going, if steam fizzles out, everything will flatten out and we will have to be on this all over again, so never let that happen.

I remember last time when PD became current USCIS did not follow the correct order /sequence of PD while allocating visa numbers .
Many of the people who had PD of 2006 got Visa number allocation before people who were in queue ahead of them with 2004/2005 PD.
This time we should have some campaign may be by sending the letter or some way to USCIS/DOS and make them aware to allocate visa based on PD in a fair and transparent way.Any suggestions ????
This opportunity has come after many many years for many of us, we should make our best effort that visa number allocation are done in a fair and transparent way for coming month and month's to come.
