I'd like to apologize to every level-headed member of IV for getting involved in an ugly exchange of posts in this thread. It was never my intention to distract us from our common goal.
Logiclife, I never meant to create more work for you but for some reason that -ve post from ForeverGC got me carried away. May be it was because of the bad lunch:p that I had earlier. Thanks for your patience and bearing with all the childish behavior.
Next time I see a bad post against IV, I'll just keep quiet and report the person to the moderators.

I absolutely agree with this. All replies sound similar to me and concerned more about the illegal immigrant population. I think you will hardly find the words 'legal', 'high qualified' etc. As soon as they see/hear an immigrant, do they immediately start thinking illegal ?! I think we need to create more awareness that we exist. We need help from the media.

But all the replies from Lawmakers that I am reading have nothing to say about Legal Immigration.....they have a standard reply......secure border,illegal immigrants,american jobs.....nothing about our issue.

My company started the PERM process for me about 2.5 months ago. I contacted Fragomen about 1.5 months after approvals within the company and they said they are working on establishing min requirements for the position. I then contacted them 3 weeks after that day and they said they have established the requirement and will request the DOL for prevailing wage info (this was 2 weeks ago). After which they are going to start the recruitment process. So I'm not sure if the time line is okay or should I be chasing them more frequently? Please advise.

I wouldn't make that decision until Oct of 2008.
My personal opinion and analysis tell me that EB2 will soon get retrogressed from what it is today and the picture will not be that rosy in a couple of months.
I would wait until Oct 2008 and see what kind of visa numbers are available at that time for EB2 and EB3 and them make any decision on switching.
Again..just my opinion.

I agree 100 %. But even if the officer wants to know about out I 140, it wud be just a 1 min process for them as they can check if a recipt was generated based on the names.
If we put the copies of the fee checks, that would help even more because that means that our I 140 application was accepted.
With tracking receipts, cheque copies and a letter, I believe we would be able to establish evidence that, 140 was received by the service center.
Totally missing out on showing that I 140 is filed is no evidence at all. Showing every possible document to prove that the docment was filed, should be do the work.
Anyways since there are so many hundreds of people who filed I 140 in the recent days, I believe some alternative from USCIS wud show up in the next few days .......

IV is more than a website. We are trying to build a grassroots organization. Things are taking place offline as well.
It takes time to build the base. Strengthening the state chapters is one of the best thing we can do. Our first chapter meeting was very small as well but we will build from there. More members are forthcoming to meet lawmakers now.

You are right in acknowledging that you may be wrong. Where you may be wrong? Maybe your "opinion" that EB2 should be given GC first before a single EB3 is entertained. Maybe the first-come-first-served argument is the valid one after all.

it seems that it was delievered late july 2nd for USCIS to refuse accepting yor package. From what you wrote it seems the package has been returned without opening !!!
